Swisstainable - Swiss Tourism Sustainability Program

Not only a careful and conscious use of our resources, but also the cooperation with organizations and associated short- to medium-term commitments are part of a sustainable, social responsibility for us.

WE ARE CERTIFIED! - It is with great pleasure that we can inform you that we have been classified for our comprehensive, sustainable commitment in the areas of environment, society and economy with the "Level 1 - committed" of the sustainability program Swisstainable of Switzerland Tourism. The program stands for a long-term, fully inclusive and sustainable travel experience to be created collectively as an industry. With the contributions anchored in our sustainability strategy, as well as three other resource-saving measures that will be implemented in the next two years, we are allowed to help as an official cooperation partner to a sustainable development of the destination Switzerland as well as the destination Zermatt. In the future, dear guests, we would like to walk this path together with you and inform you transparently and regularly about our efforts. 

MILESTONE #1

You were able to read about our commitment to the Swisstainable Commitment some time ago. Now we are back with a small update. The commitment includes three resource-saving measures that will be implemented in addition to our general sustainability efforts in the period from summer 2022 to 2024. As the first of the three, we have set ourselves the goal of using the beauty and cosmetic amenities in our bathrooms in a resource-saving manner. Up to now, small plastic bottles with shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and hand soap were disposed of and replaced with new ones every time guests arrived and departed. An immense consumption of resources that had to be reduced as efficiently as possible. We are now in the process of equipping all our bathrooms with branded, refillable pump dispensers, which reduce all waste to zero and also create a recognition value, branded with our logo. Our measures 2 & 3, which we would like to realise in 2023, provide for reduced paper consumption in all internal work processes, as well as in the room information... Stay curious and informed by us!

 

MILESTONE #2

DIGITAL & SIMPLE. This is how it should be in addition to the superficial courtesy in direct exchange for our guests. All services and benefits can be conveniently accessed with just one click and a lot of information in paper form, printing etc. can be saved. Our digital guest directory is now available to our guests and this 2nd milestone marks the next step towards Siwsstainable Level 2.
